Vehicle Description This is a 1976 Firebird Trans Am, cloned like a 1974 Super Duty.
Super Duty T/A is the most rare, coveted and fastest ever made, produced only 2 years in 1973 & 1974.
This clone was originally a 1976 real Trans Am, 400 Pontiac engine, 400 turbo 3 speed auto and 3.
08 10 bolt posi rear, a Florida car purchased new in New Port Richey.
An excellent solid car, frame off restoration was done 22 years ago.
1974 front facia and rear bumpers were located and car was painted again about 12 years ago, but this time the entire frame and suspension were rebuilt to better than new- with a Chevy blueprinted and balanced 454 roller motor built by a local speed shop with 540 HP and a pro torque 700R4 overdrive trans along with a Moser 12 bolt posi, 3.
73 gear, and 4 wheel disc brakes were also installed.
New A/C system installed but just needs a couple of hoses and charge the system to complete.
This is not a race car, its totally street reliable, and cruises at 2,000 RPM at 70mph on the highway.
Very strong sound but smooth at idle.
This Trans Am is barely broken in, having only been driven less than 7K miles since new suspension, motor, and drive train were installed.
Its been sorted out, fine tuned and all electrical rewired from front to rear.
Car has been garage kept and driven only in Florida good weather.
This is a great old school drivers muscle car.
