Contract Specialist

To qualify for the GS-12 In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience performing contracting services such as pre-award and post-award functions including planning, soliciting, evaluating, cost/price analysis, negotiating and administering contracts cradle to grave. Experience planning acquisitions for standard or specialized services and commodities within established competitive markets, and where price competition exists utilizing Performance Work Statements and Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans. Experience determining appropriate contract type and method of procurement based on the nature of service required, urgency of need, estimated cost, market conditions, and applicable procurement policies and regulations. Experience performing market research, reviews specifications and statements of work, and established acquisition milestone plans. To qualify for the GS-11:

Experience reviewing requisition packages for adequacy and completeness of description, consistency, and compliance with administrative, regulatory, and procedural requirements. Experience assisting in determining appropriate contract type and method of procurement for a command. Experience assisting in performing market research and reviewing specifications and statements for a command. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
