For the GS-0804-13 Fire Protection Engineer:
This position has a selective placement factor that will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is:
Current registration as a Professional Engineer by any state, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico is required. Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Preparing design drawings, specifications and documentation for the design, construction, operation, inspection and testing of fire protection systems in facilities; 2) Conducting field investigations and surveys of facilities for compliance with applicable fire protection laws, codes and regulations; 3) Evaluating and recommending technical solutions to fire protection engineering issues; 4) Preparing contract requirements for the acquisition of facility fire protection systems. For the GS-0804-12 Fire Protection Engineer:

1) Preparing architectural design documents and products such as drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for a variety of facility types; 2) Resolving technical issues with architectural designs; 3) Designing alterations and modifications to existing facilities to meet changing demands; 4) Performing technical management and oversight of design projects. For the GS-0808-12 Architect:

For the GS-0810/0830/0850-12 Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineer:
