IT Systems Administrator (SAS)

SkillStorm is seeking a IT Systems Administrator (SAS) for one of our clients in Jacksonville, FL. Job Summary The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for monitoring, installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting and maintenance of technology solutions. IT Systems Administrators provide technical support, troubleshoot problem and perform scriptingprogramming to ensure stable and efficient operation of technology solutions. Essential Job Responsibilities Performs installation, monitoring, testing, configuration, migration, maintenance and troubleshooting of assigned technology Manages systemapplication environment and ongoing operations Ensures that the technologies are updated with current, stable, and compliant architecture and applications that meet enterprise standards Researches, designs, implements and tests technology solutions Proactively monitors and reports performance and utilization of assigned technologies Troubleshoots software andor hardware issuesfailures Resolves alerts and performs remediation activities Manages problem or escalated tickets and tasks and out of cycle requests from systemssoftware owners Collects and presents data for reporting and planning Assists with developing tactical strategies, processes and procedures related to systemsapplication administration Determines migration and upgrade impacts and diagnoseresolve complex technologyapplication errors Collaborates with IT and business area partners on work groups and initiatives Determines best course of action for meeting business needs May provide input into infrastructure architecture designs Writes highly complex programmingscripting May participate in Disaster Recovery planning and exercises Ensures execution and alignment to architectural standards and blueprints. May contribute input to infrastructure architecture Performs on-call activities as needed for the environment and technologies Mentors Associate and Intermediate IT Systems Administrators Assists Senior level IT Systems Administrators with establishing system administration practices Performs other duties as the supervisor may, from time to time, deem necessary. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience 5 years related work experience. This includes progressive IT work experience in systems administrator role. Extensive working knowledge of multiple technologies and their interfaces and integration Competent working in one or more environments highly integrated with an operating system Moderate experience implementing and administeringmanaging technical solutions in major, large-scale system implementations High critical thinking skills to evaluate alternatives and present solutions that are consistent with business objectives and strategy Ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of responsibilities Ability to learn from mistakes and apply constructive feedback to improve performance Ability to communicate technical information clearly and articulately Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment Specific Skillset Needed Experience with UnixLinux Managing and supporting distributed SAS platforms Supporting tenants and users of the distributed SAS platforms Providing SAS expertise and solutioningfeedback for continual process and platform improvement Ensures the overall health of the distributed SAS platform Designs solutions to reduce the operational and management complexity of the platform Establishes best practices and guidelines for usage of the distributed SAS platform Provide leadership and direction as it relates to design and implementation for the distributed SAS platform Own and drive the SAS Product patching and release upgrade activity and act as liaison to SAS for any support issues Provide maintenance and support for SAS products during deployment, upgrade and any changes to SAS products and or during other enterprise activities that impact SAS infrastructure Manage the configuration support and maintenance of the distributed SAS platform Perform installation, upgrade and configuration of SAS technology products on all supported server environments Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in an IT related field Experience analyzing business requirements and translating them into technical solutions

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
