Qualitifications &
Experience:
10 years of industry experience with proven record of 5
years in a managerial or team lead role
Experience leading teams developing enterprise applications using current JAVA Enterprise development tools.
Extensive, direct experience working with a relational database systems.
Proficient at writing design documents, design specifications, and unit test cases.
Ability to work on or oversee multiple, major projects and ensure they are delivered on time according to project schedules
Excellent time management, organization, and oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated self-starter, interpersonal skills
Ability to diagnose and resolve problems independently. Creative problem solving skills
Possess strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and its components, and be highly familiar with using electronic mail as a primary form of business communication
Preferred Skills &
Qualifications:
Seven (7) years Developing enterprise software applications using JAVA and Open Source technologies
Strong HTML, CSS, and Javascript capabilities
Strong understanding of relational database systems
Experience with SDLC utilizing and Agile Methodology
Previous employment in the healthcare or insurance industry using HIPAA-compliant EDI transaction sets

We seek a Software Develoment Manager to join our growing team.
The Software Development Manager is a management position focusing on the day-to-day maintenance and enhancement of current software systems, as well as the design and development of future software systems. The Software Development Manager supervises a group of software engineers for the IT Group and performs project management duties for new projects.
The Software Development Manager is responsible for day-to-day management of staff including assigning their tasks and following up on those tasks to ensure they are completed properly. The manager must monitor employee work times, mentor employees, verify that employees follow our defined standards, set goals and expectations for employees, and hold regular meetings with employees to review their progress.
The Software Development Manager is responsible for evaluating the requirements for new software modules or programs. The manager helps determine the resources needed for a task and the time to complete the task, and assists senior management in completing software project plans. The manager must work with our clients' employees to resolve issues and find defects in the software, train new users, and assist operations in review of implemented software and enhanced functionalities needed for the future.
Essential Duties & Functions:
Management of software projects and business processes with our clients. Assist in system design, roadmap planning and technical vision, development, testing, documentation, and training
Facilitate communication between the software development group and the other groups both within and outside the organization
Day-to-day management and mentoring of employees reporting to the manager. Responsible for assigning their tasks and following up on those tasks to ensure they are completed properly; hold regular meetings with employees to review their progress. Set goals and expectations of employees; develop and hold annual reviews with each employee that reports to the manager. Monitor employee work times; review and sign their timesheets; motivate employees to deliver results on time
Management and resolution of technical IT software requests in the help desk system
Ensure employees properly log all work completed in the change management system; use of the change management tools to effectively manage the group
Work with our clients' employees to resolve issues and correct any defects in software
Assist with recruiting, hiring, and termination decisions associated with the software development staff

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
