Cloud Architect Position Description CGI Federal is looking for a Cloud Architect to support a USMC program out of Jacksonville, FL. The Cloud Architect supports solution development with subject matter experts and engineers to build Cloud Solution Offerings focused on Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings. The Cloud Developer will provide subject matter experience and expertise with the ability to clearly present concepts and services to help build innovative cloud solutions. Your future duties and responsibilities Responsible for designing and implementing core infrastructure systems which will support the creation of innovative cloud solutions and foster Software As A Service (SaaS) solutions Defines the system landscape, identify gaps between the current and desired end-states, and delivers cloud-based solutions Recommends alternate choices, trade-offs, and impact analysis Works with technical teams and senior architects to finalize specifications related to integration between systems Understands security and identifies encryption and controls needed to protect information Collaborates with technical teams and management to ensure cloud services align to roadmaps and understand the effect on the organization's information architecture Liaises with external providers to resolve any issues in the functionality and interoperability of new cloud applications, cloud-based infrastructure, and other cloud services with existing IT systems Coordinates testing efforts to identify and resolve system integration issues Required qualifications to be successful in this role Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technologies US Citizenship is required. Knowledge of both AWS and Azure Cloud technologies Experience with WebAPI and RESTful services Knowledge with Distributed Systems patterns such as Domain Driven Design (DDD), Command Query Responsibility Separation (CQRS), Event Sourcing, and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Experience with messaging patterns and messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ Thorough understanding of Cloud Computing: virtualization technologies, Infrastructure as a Service, Platform as a Service and Software as a Service Cloud delivery models and the current competitive landscape. Thorough understanding of infrastructure (firewalls, load balancers, hypervisor, storage, monitoring, security etc.) and have experience with orchestration to develop a cloud solution Ability to clearly present concepts and Cloud Managed Services products to internal and external clients Understanding of Agile, DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) CompTIA Security Plus certification At CGI, we're a team of builders.
