Accounting Manager
Summary
Ensures the accurate and timely recordation of accounting transactions and activity in the general ledgers of DayMark Asset Funding, Inc. and affiliated companies. This includes reconciling cash accounts; maintaining documentation supporting the general ledger account balances; verifying the complete and accurate loading of subsidiary ledger transactions into the general ledger; and validating the accuracy of intercompany transactions across the entities.
o Knowledgeable of the functions performed by each entity within the consolidated group the interrelationships among the entities as they related to the consolidated whole
o Ensures the timely recordation of accounting transactions into the appropriate entity within the consolidated group
o Ensures that the cash position is reported timely and accurately every business day
o Ensures that the general ledgers timely and accurately report on a consolidated basis the activity performed by the various legal entities
o Ensures that general ledger balances are supported by subsystem reports and manual schedules that will pass the scrutiny of an audit
o Ensures that intercompany transactions properly accounted for in the individual entities a well as in elimination
Requirements
o Undergraduate degree in accounting
o CPA designation strongly preferred
o 2-3 years of accounting or auditing experience
o At least 2 years of progressive work experience (a succession of jobs with increasing responsibility)
o Ability to communicate effectively with, coworkers, and partners via email, phone, and in person
o An inquisitive nature that challenges prima facie answers and solutions
o Ability, availability, and willingness to work flexible hours as required
o Other duties as assigned
Skill Requirements
Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of:
o GAAP and the application GAAP
o Midlevel accounting software
o Microsoft Professional suite of applications
o Intercompany accounting
o Variance analysis
o Interpersonal skills to motivate and organize teamsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
