The Regional Computer Aided Facility Management Support Specialist (RCAFM Support) position provides regional support of all aspects specific to the execution and compliance of the contract scope of work for the given BUMED region. The RCAFM Support rep will report to the Regional Computer Aided Facility Manager (RCAFM), working in conjunction with the specific Navy Medicine Regional Engineers and management staff, as well as site Facility Manager (FMs) and engineers within the prescribed area of responsibility (AOR).
Directly supervise and support the Regional Computer Aided Design (CAD) Specilists and Database Sustainment Specialist (DSS) within the assigned AOR to ensure compliance with all provisions of this contract.
Understand all aspects of the Contract Scope of Work.
Ensure regional DSS employees are proficient in the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support -Facilities Management (DMLSS-FM) software application, with understanding and use of the peripher applications of Drawbase and Business Objects .
Support the Regional CAD specialist(s) with Facilities drawing support as applicable under the contract scope.
Work directly with Regional government engineering and planning representatives in CAFM program initiatives, identifying best practices for program implementation and support.
Provide planning, management and oversight of training initiatives specific to the DMLSS-FM and related CAFM applications.
Monitor and participate in BUMED FM discussion forums related to DMLSS-FM on a regular basis and ensure all DSS employees participate in the forums.
Provide responsive telephone and email support to the DSS and CAD Specialist employees. Telephone or email inquiries shall be answered with 24 hours; and/or establish back-up support for assistance when not available.
Monitor DMLSS-FM and CAD drawing implementation and usage within the assigned AOR to ensure maximum usage of all contract related programs and efforts.
Advise the RCAM of concerns and issues with application performance and or complications in a timely manner.
Provide on-site training and support to Regional activities as needed. Up to two (2) weeks per month is the anticipated travel for this position.
