5K a year 4 days ago 4 days ago 4 days ago Job description A free service provided by the Florida Department of Transportation; First Coast Road Rangers is Jacksonville's premiere Safety Service Patrol program.
We provide Traffic Incident Management on the highways within Duval county and surrounding areas.
Our goal is to keep the highways free and clear of incidents and to reduce traffic delays when an incident does occur.
As a Road Ranger, you will actively patrol a specific zone and respond to traffic crashes, disabled vehicles and debris along with any other incident that is affecting the normal flow of traffic.
Duties:
Assisting Law Enforcement, assisting Fire and Rescue, assisting FDOT maintenance, setting up a safe work zone around traffic crashes, tire changes, jump starts, fuel, water for radiators, safely removing vehicles from travel lanes, debris removal.
Eligibility Requirements:
Applicants must be at least 23 years old, clean driving record, clean criminal background, drug free, available to work overtime (if needed), must be able to work in the elements (heat, rain, cold, etc.
).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
