Logistics Customer Service Representative Job
Summary:
The primary duty of the Customer Service Representative is to coordinate freight shipments with shippers & receivers so that customer expectation is met.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Arranges shipments by examining destination, route, rate, delivery time; dispatches to carriers Verifies merchandise shipped by matching bills of lading; reconciling quantities; noticing discreptencies Keeps customers informed by forwarding notices, shipment date, method and current status; answering questions Collect and analyze service issue and carrier quality information and develop clear and concise reports Negotiate rate structures, including consolidation lanes, capacity and customer programs.
Present findings to management Benchmark freight rates Brokering functions such as booking, issuing delivery orders, etc.
Checking and confirming order status on pick-up and deliveries Analyze freight bills for customer specific required information.
Track and log information in the system Coordinate and expedite requests, time-specific pick-ups and deliveries and other special requests Skills Required to Perform the Duties of the Job:
Strong customer service skills Strong computer skills Ability to multi-task Decision making and problem solving skills Ability to prioritize and manage time Attention to detail and accuracy Time management and organization skills Effective communication skills Professional phone etiquette Team orientated Required Hours of the Job:

After your 90-day probation ends you will assigned late days (no more than once a week) and on call over the weekend (no more than once a month) Preference 1-year transportation and logistics experience Report to for the Job:
The Customer Service Representative position will report directly to the team's Logistics Manger and Agency owner.
