Ladybird Academy is seeking a professional, experienced Education Coordinator who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children every day.

Your excitement and expertise will make a difference! The Education Coordinator will support and coordinate of all phases of curriculum, complying with regulating government agencies and Ladybird Academy's policies and procedures.
Supervisory Responsibilities Assist with the daily workflow, scheduling, and operations of the school.
Assist in training academy staff.
Evaluates teacher and teaching assistant performance and provide additional training and guidance.
Duties and Responsibilities Maintain a good relationship with parents and/or guardians.
Contribute to the monthly staff and curriculum newsletter.
Set out and communicate clear expectations to the staff and children, so everyone understands what is expected from them.
Distribute lesson plans and materials to all Lead Teachers and classrooms.
Monitor and assist with classroom curriculum crates.
Check classroom's theme and book boxes, theme bags to ensure all items are accounted for and ready for the following month.
Complete monthly supply list and email it by the 10th of the month, for the following month.
Complete classroom observations monthly to ensure curriculum is properly and thoroughly implemented.
Keep abreast of changes in curriculum, policies and procedures and DCF regulations.
Assist Assistant Director with VPK paperwork.
Assist Assistant Director with daily staff scheduling ensuring that staff are being sent home as numbers drop, and over time is kept to a minimum and only when authorized by corporate.
Walk-the-floor throughout the day, ensuring all Ladybird policies and procedures are being followed and correcting any staff or classrooms out of compliance.
Assist Director and Assistant Director with tours of the facility.
Fill-in in a classroom in the absence of the Teacher or Teacher Assistant and/or break coverage when required.
Keep the reception area and hallways clean and tidy.
Administer medication in the absence of the Director and/or Assistant Director.
Sign accident/incident reports in the absence of the Director and/or Assistant Director.
Assist and contribute to bi-monthly group staff meetings and or trainings.
Oversee the curriculum participating classrooms to ensure the correct implementation.
Ensure homework is being distributed weekly and assist with printing out homework papers.
Ensure supply lists, supply orders, book boxes, theme bookbags and inventory are used, completed and maintained properly.
Enter all new families into Brightwheel.
Prepare new child forms and transition forms as needed.
Assist teachers with ASQ's and progress reports as needed.
When operating as MOD, and when needed, conduct daily counts and input onto spreadsheet daily.
Answer phones and other administrative tasks.
Organize field trips and other activities such as Picture Day, Fundraisers, and monthly events per the Event Procedure Manual and Charity Events.
Monitor iPad usage in classrooms ensuring Brightwheel is completed each day, including detailed descriptions of activities and individual pictures for each child's daily report thoroughly.
Monitor iPads in classrooms throughout the day, ensuring only approved apps are being used.
Assist with the 15-minute counts in the afternoon, move staff accordingly.
Send staff home when applicable.
Any other duties as required by the position.
This position may require overtime, evening, and weekend hours.
Qualifications Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or higher level of education Preferred an original and current VPK Director's Credential First Aid/CPR certification If previously worked in childcare, state-mandated annual in-service training hours must be up-to-date No pending or past arrest record Reliable transportation Willing to be assigned to alternate locations, from time-to-time Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to be on your feet for prolonged periods of the day.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Must be willing to drive school bus when needed.
(Valid Florida drivers license required and DCF Medical Examination Form) Can obtain after employment.
Qualifications must be satisfied upon the first date of employment.
