Vaco Staffing is looking for a Document Specialist for a large healthcare organization in Jacksonville.
Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
  • Outbound phone calls to providers requesting required documentation for services rendered to the work comp claimants we scheduled at their facilities.
  • Sorting, batching, uploading and attaching medical record items, such as; radiology reports, claims, medical records, daily notes, evaluations, etc.
  • Responding to client requests regarding the retrieval of, accuracy of or aging of diagnostic tests performed on their work comp claimants.
  • Review documents for accuracy
  • Attach and transmit documents to clients via email, fax, or FTP.
  • Remains up to date with all Work Comp rules and regulations.
  • Supports Streamline's Compliance Program by adhering to policies and procedures pertaining to HIPAA and other laws pertaining to Work Comp that are applicable to the Streamline Compliance Program. This includes being familiar with the Streamline Code of Ethics, attending training as required, notifying management when there is a compliance concern or incident.
  • Other as needed duties such as cd requests for images, re reads, reschedules, and other as needed functions for the team.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of work comp industry and billing procedures and practices helpful
  • Demonstrated success working both individually and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills
  • Some experience in document handling or medical records
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products:
    Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams
  • Type 60 wpm
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
