The Behavioral Health Counselor is responsible for providing orientation for new admissions, designing and facilitating group activities, developing treatment plans with persons served, conducting and documenting treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, FARS and program planning.
The counselor is expected to identify challenging behaviors and to implement behavior interventions through environmental rearrangements, social interactions, and crisis intervention.
Documentation requirements include completion of intake documentation for new admissions, documentation of persons served progress, FARS, group notes, biopsychosocial, and summaries.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related Human Services Field.
Must have behavioral and mental health counseling experience.
Must be local to Jacksonville, FL.
All candidates must hold a valid Florida Driver's License and must be local to Jacksonville, FL.
Must be able to pass a level II background screening.
