Senior Security Consultant

Compensation Minimum:
$111,200 AnnualCompensation Maximum:
$194,900 AnnualCompensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location.
Primary Accountabilities Recognized as an expert within the company and requires in-depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline and broad knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization.
Provides security guidance across the system development life cycle, including security architectural reviews.
Contributes to the development and implementation of security technology solutions for complicated and more complex environments and architecture.
Analyzes business impact and exposure based on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities and risks, and recommends technologies and solutions to mitigate them.
Stays current with leading and emerging security technologies and makes recommendations for use based on business value.
Works closely with other technology architects to ensure security is properly represented in their technology domains and to ensure consistency and compatibility among I/S strategies and standards.
Actively communicates with stakeholders to drive awareness and understanding of security architecture roadmaps and directions.
Act as a subject matter expert on the implementation and capabilities of existing security controls.
Provides direction and thought leadership to enterprise-wide initiatives applying security principles such as access control, encryption, and host security, as well as state-of-the-art and emerging technologies such as cloud computing, mobile computing, and next-generation architecture.
Identifies the need for new security technology solutions; designs, reviews, and collaborates on the deployment of new solutions.
Acts as a resource for direction, mentoring, training, and guidance for less experienced staff.
Stays continually informed about the latest developments in the security field, including mitigation strategies, threats, tools, attack vectors, and cutting-edge preventative measures.
Participates in new products or technology solutions supported by appropriate ROI, the total cost of ownership, and/or cost-benefit analyses.
Enforces internal controls to prevent unauthorized system access.
Analyzes provisioning trends and patterns to improve enterprise security posture.
Leads the identification, design, and implementation of automated solutions to enable security needs Transforms business requirements into technical specifications.
Designs and develops system-security measures to ensure Cybersecurity is fully integrated.
Validates current and future-state architectural models to assess impact across all Cybersecurity technology systems.
Manage relationships with IT stakeholders to enable cross-functional coordination and ensure a partnership-focused approach is taken to align product and system releases and roadmaps to security policies and standards and ensure all exceptions or gaps in security capabilities or coverage in systems are managed with a risk-based approach that balances security priorities with business needs.
Travel RequirementsThis position requires travel up to 10% of the time.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of software engineering architectures, system/software designs, and system deployments.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of Cyber Security, Cyber Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical / Computer Engineering.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of security technologies and application development methodologies.
Demonstrated experience leading cyber threat analysis, incident response and penetration testing.
Demonstrated experience performing forensics analysis and ethical hacking.
Education & LicensesBachelors degree in computer science, information assurance, MIS or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Qualifications:
o At least five years of experience in information security or a related field.
o Strong familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, and Azure preferred.
o Strong knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, anti-malware systems, and encryption technologies.
o Experience with security architecture design and implementation.
o Experience with security assessments and audits.
o Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards, including PCI, ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR.
o Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
o CISSP, CISM, or other relevant certifications preferred.
