Responsibilities You will conduct analysis of designs, drawings, proposals, scopes of work, and/or specifications to determine cost projections.
You will develop comprehensive budget cost estimates for complex construction assemblies and building systems composites for all facility project types.
You will develop detailed comprehensive cost estimates for complex military facilities to arrive at the projects selected plan while maintaining cost control.
You will actively maintain liaison with contractors, suppliers and manufacturers to obtain cost, capability, and other data.
Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1).
Providing services to all activities and tenants for a broad range of facilities by developing sound cost estimating products; 2) Providing cost estimating support in facility construction projects for new construction, renovation and improvement projects for a variety of construction projects; 3) Developing construction costs by analyzing labor and material requirements for projects utilizing cost estimating principles, concepts and policies; 4) Using software products to develop and provide cost estimates that includes Micro-Computer Aided Cost Estimating System (MCASES), Parametric Cost Engineering System Software (PACES), or equivalent commercial applications.

The adequacy of such background must be demonstrated by one of the following:
(I) Professional registration or licensure:
Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.
Absent other means of qualifying under this standard, those applicants who achieved such registration by means other than written test (e.
g.
, State grandfather or eminence provisions) are eligible only for positions that are within or closely related to the specialty field of their registration; or (II) Written Test:
Evidence of having successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination or any other written test required for professional registration by an engineering licensure board in the various States, the District of Columbia, Guam, and Puerto Rico; or (III) Specified academic courses:
