Mental Health Office Assistant supports the mental health practice through the necessary skills and tasks listed below.
Ultimately, a successful Mental Health Office Assistant should ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of our office.
You will support day-to-day operations by performing administrative tasks and ensuring high-quality customer service for our clients.
We also expect you to handle all sensitive information confidentially as per HIPAA and PHI (Protected Health Information) guidelines.
Responsibilities:
Organize and schedule appointments using Electronic Health Records software Answer and direct phone calls and take messages as needed Write and distribute email, correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms as required Maintain contact lists Book travel arrangements as required Act as the point of contact for internal and external clients Ensure intake forms are completed for new clients Assist patients with initial paperwork Update and maintain client records Use medical software to support all transactions Receive co-pays, payments, and no show fees through either cash or credit card.
