net/ Responsibilities include, reading production schedules and work orders; plans, organizes and delivers material supplies to all decks quickly and efficiently; ensures that all transactions are completed correctly before issuing materials or WIP's to production, maintains traffic patterns; contributes to quality of products produced by supplying lines with correct materials; ensure proper rotation of stock; unload railcars; operate and maintain all warehouse equipment in a safe and efficient manner, assists processors, warehousers, operator assistants and machine operators; complete necessary paperwork; flawless execution and accuracy of inventory transactions; maintain proper sanitation of the warehouse, and other duties as assigned.
PURPOSE - The purpose of this position is to lead the production team in the most efficient manner within budget constraints and abiding by good manufacturing practices and safety regulations.
The Production Lead has primary responsibility for effective operation of food processing and packaging equipment accomplished in a manner to enhance the overall performance of the plant.
To meet this objective, this position manages the overall production processes to meet or exceed quality, safety, productivity, and cost standards.
The position will provide guidance and leadership to develop a high performance team; one that is self-directed, motivated, innovative, dependent upon the contributions of every individual, and properly trained to meet the changing requirements of the operation.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES - Follows all food safety requirements in collaboration with Quality Assurance (QRMP), Sanitation, and other plant resources.
Leads and/or assists others in conducting investigations to determine the cause of defects.
Monitors and is responsible for quality output and takes appropriate actions to insure production is right the first time.
Validates and ensures quality control measures are accurate and in conformance with process flow.
Conducts quality audits and monitors process batch analytical data for accuracy.
Ensuring that personal protective equipment is provided and used.
Enforce safety rules and take prompt corrective action when unsafe acts or conditions are identified Conduct routine safety audits and complete required safety forms Collaborates with other departments as necessary to ensure efficient, safe, and sanitary conditions of facility are maintained.
Assigns personnel, maximizes operational uptime, and manages use of processing and packaging machinery and equipment.
Understands process flow of processing and packaging operations, and recommends improvements when necessary Demonstrate the ability to operate packaging or processing equipment as necessary when demands are needed.
Leads projects in efforts of continuous improvement.
Manages and generates daily crewing for optimum performance, included but not limited to daily crewing, hours, and overtime avoidance.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES- o Excellent analytical, reasoning, math and organizational skills.
o Degree in a related field preferred and/or a minimum of 3 years previous experience in food/beverage manufacturing working in a leadership capacity is strongly desired.
o Must have a solid understanding of process improvement methods, and be capable of leading a team.
o Must be able to lead by example and have the ability to allocate resources as situations change.
