We practice exclusively in the area of family law and are seeking a team-oriented attorney who can collaborate with all our team members while working largely independently and managing their own caseload.
The ideal candidate is customer service focused and eager to litigate aggressively.
They have the skills and experience to effectively manage his/her own caseload with minimal supervision in a team-oriented environment.
The candidate will be experienced in communicating with clients, preparing for and attending hearings and trials, propounding, and responding to written discovery, drafting substantive motions, and appearing in court.
They will also have a desire to practice family law and be comfortable with tasks specific to family law, such as handling complex financial disclosures, managing child custody disputes, and navigating domestic violence actions.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education Candidates must be a member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
Qualifications Possess two or more years' experience in litigation in the courtroom.
Demonstrate commitment to practice family law.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, other firm attorneys, support staff, and outside professionals.
Candidate must be a driven self-starter with excellent analytical and writing skills capable of independently managing a variety of projects efficiently.
Emotionally intelligent with active listening skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and clients.
Strong litigation skills with the ability to negotiate and resolve matters ethically and professionally.
Excellent attention to detail.
Must possess great time management skills.
Able to lead support staff by fostering an environment of good communication, fairness, empathy, and accountability.
Strong organizational and matter management skills.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and listening skills.
Responsibilities:
Provide client representation for a full array of family law issues.
Successfully counsel and represent the interests of clients in mediation and in trial.
Provide effective and practical advice to clients to assist them in promoting their best interests.
Deliver thorough factual and legal research and analysis in pleadings, memoranda, and other written documents.
Manage matters from commencement to final resolution.
Competently and professionally develop and maintain a client base.
