Supervisor shifts are Monday through Friday 8-hour evenings and 10-hour nights; weekends and holidays are 12-hour days and nights.

Job Description:
Provide supervision, oversight and appropriate intervention of clinical care as well as organizational issues which occur after hours, weekends and holidays.
Supervises patient care in all settings, including home, contracted facilities and inpatient as needed.
Coordinates call-ins and staffing needs identified after hours.
Will notify Team Managers of call -outs via voicemail report box and make appropriate staffing adjustments when possible (i.
e.
CIC/CC staff).
Serves as supervision authority of staff (without partiality) on their assigned shift to maintain the smooth operation of the Triage, Baylor and CIC/CC staff.
Supervises and acts as a resource for referrals and assessments and documents per department process/policies.
Ensure quality patient care and productivity of staff by supervision of the following:
training, evaluation and support systems of the team.
Manages and reviews weekly assessments of new employee orientation and collaborates with preceptor for input.
Understands and embodies the Intentional Visit Design and visit must haves in their practice and assists in orienting staff to this design.
In the event of a narcotic discrepancy or reasonable suspicion, the Triage Supervisor will report to the involved team as well as conducting the investigation of discrepancy/suspicion with notification of director on call and/or manager on call for further instructions.
The Triage Supervisor will document the event.
Quickly identifies systematic issues that may potentially have an adverse effect on patient outcomes.
Notify the on call Manager/Director immediately of all urgent concerns during assigned shift.
For non-urgent issues, the manager on call and manager of involved team will be notified by the end of the shift via voicemail/email and/or text message.
All patient, family and employee grievances/issues/conflicts and/or inappropriate behaviors will be immediately addressed and then referred to the Manager on call via phone and Manager of team involved via email.
Functions as a positive role model/leader and interdependent team member.
Demonstrates ability to use critical thinking skills to solve problems independently.
Attends a minimum of 85% of the general staff and team meetings.
Promotes agency image within the community.
Practices and promotes positive peer and patient relations.
Utilizes lessons learned from Communication in Healthcare class to address issues, complaints and opportunities.
Develops areas of expertise in management and hospice nursing skills.
Pursues professional growth through academic and continuing education programs.
Adheres to all internal controls.
