Fabrication Manager
Position
Summary:
The Fabrication Manager will oversee daily fabrication and paint operations to ensure parts and components are produced accurately, on time, and to quality standards. This role is responsible for managing production schedules, supervising team members, ensuring equipment reliability, and driving efficiency through continuous improvement.
Key
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily activities in fabrication and paint departments.
Ensure all fabricated and purchased parts meet quality standards and are delivered per schedule.
Manage capacity, workflows, and resource allocation to optimize throughput.
Collaborate with planning, engineering, procurement, and quality teams to resolve production issues.
Lead, train, and develop supervisors, team leads, and production staff.
Maintain a safe work environment, ensuring compliance with all safety procedures.
Monitor and improve equipment performance in partnership with maintenance.
Implement and sustain lean manufacturing practices to reduce waste and improve productivity.
Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Operations, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing, with at least 2-3 years in a fabrication leadership role.
Strong understanding of fabrication processes (e.g., CNC cutting, bending, welding, painting).
Experience in high-mix, high-volume manufacturing preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in using production data to drive improvements.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
