Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (NIGHT SHIFT)
Job Description:
oLocate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments such as laser alignment tools, stethoscope, tachometer, infrared camera, ultra sound and vibration analysis toolsoRemove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand/power toolsoAdjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedgesoWeld using the following methods:
Tig, Mig and/or Stick welding Work from blueprints and schematics and perform basic shop mathoMaintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Qualifications:
oMust be capable of working in a manufacturing setting in a safe manner and follow all safety rules and practices.
oMust have the desired technical skills to work as a maintenance mechanic or electrician.
oMaintain a high standard for housekeeping within the work area.
oFollow instructions on printed work or customer orders to complete assigned tasks.
oBasic computer skills preferred to complete safety training and review work-related email.
oAbility to learn to operate required equipment, including mobile equipment (forklifts, etc.
)oFamiliar with common hand tools and how to properly use them.
oGood communication skills needed to work with coworkers and customers.
oDemonstrates the ability to cooperate with co-workers in areas of safety, quality, and understands the importance of completing assigned tasks and their relationship to other requirements.
Recognize unsafe conditions or hazards within work area.
PLEASE NOTE:
This position will train on day shift but will ultimately be a night shift role working 7pm to 7am, working 3 to 4 days a week.
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
