Summary:
The Scheduler will be part of a cross-functional team environment in the development and oversight of construction related project planning and scheduling for two of the three project segments.
The Scheduler will report to the Lead Scheduler.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Project Team to develop, maintain and manage the project in a Primavera P6 schedule; to include ROW Acquisition, Utilities relocation, design, Construction and close-out activities Create and prepare logical Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) Prepare estimates and forecasts during the life-cycle of the project, responsible for reporting schedule deliverables to the project team and the Client Create master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet completion deadlines Create baseline schedule and support approval effort for projects Create comprehensive schedule submissions utilizing Critical Path Methodology (CPM), resource and cost loading, baselining, coding and cost accounts Determines reasonable schedule logic, duration and constraints based on Interactive Planning sessions with Project Teams Review, analyze, report and adjust project metrics to include, but not limited to critical path, cost loading, schedule content, variance analysis, earned value, and more Utilize critical path analysis and what-if scenarios to fully support the project team Perform spot check site inspections to assess actual progress Put together issue folders to capture impacts and delays to schedules and recommend mitigation / recovery schedules; Prepare time impact analysis and data needed for change orders and time & cost related claims Suggest corrective actions and develop recovery plans over potential delays captured above Develop processes that require innovation and ingenuity EDUCATION:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management; or Mathematics is preferred but not requiredSKILLS & ABILITIES:
Proficiency with scheduling software, with a strong preference for Primavera P6 Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Excel and database applications (Practical knowledge test will be required) Ability to use computers and computer software for communication, planning/scheduling, budgeting and forecasting High level of analytical thinking skills to plan and forecast work Proven history of working in a cross-functional environment providing accurate data to team members to ensure forecasted project delivery Proficiency in critical path methodology to ensure, and communicate, timely delivery of milestone tasks Ability to reference schedule to contractual requirements at all times and defend the schedule Ability to work with subcontractor schedulers to incorporate data in the master project schedule Ability to establish work calendars specific to each contract and geographic location
Experience:
4
years of experience in project scheduling, preferably within the heavy civil construction industry Experience with $100 million
