Position
Summary:
Oversee new construction of single family, residential homes to ensure quality construction that is on schedule and to the customer's satisfaction.
Takes full responsibility to produce homes in an efficient manner through effective management of subcontractors and suppliers.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Ability to interact professionally with in house personnel as well as subcontractors and material suppliers.
Motivate subcontractors and others to top performance.
Maintains cooperative working relationship between local building officials and inspectors, as well as any other applicable governmental agencies.
Provide feedback to Production Manager for any repeat/ongoing problems.
Constantly monitors construction build times and schedules all construction resources to ensure a continuous flow on each individual home.
Update automated scheduling system daily.
Monitors quality control standards and supervises their implementation.
Monitors subdivision cleanliness and holds trade partners responsible for daily clean-up.
Authorize payment for materials received and work completed.
Build sustainable relationships of trust with the homeowner through open and interactive communication.
Accomplishes other tasks as required to achieve the overall objectives.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred in Construction Management or relevant work experience Minimum 3 years' construction experience in residential building Thorough understanding of all stages of the residential construction process Knowledgeable on local and state building codes as well as OSHA and EPA guidelines Ability to read and comprehend detailed construction plans Basic technology skills, including residential production scheduling Ability to work independently and manage deadlines Job Type:
