GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST

GS-9:
I have one year of specialized experience performing General Supply Specialist work equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying a practical knowledge of well-established, and commonly applied subsistence supply principles, concepts, and methodologies in order to perform Supply Specialist work, investigating and analyzing problems related to subsistence provisions. I also have experience utilizing supply automated databases to provide subsistence support to resolve discrepancies in the subsistence process. Examples of specialized experience may include the following:
1) Procurement of subsistence provisions, while also coordinating with prime vendors and customers, so that specific customer requirements are satisfied; 2) Gather investigate, and process all orders/receipts, by means of personal computers, accessing various software applications and databases, such as Subsistence Total Order & Receipt Electronic System (STORES) Web, Food Service Management (FSM), Microsoft Office Products, etc.; 3) Utilize a knowledge of Navy and local policies, procedures, regulations, precedents and other guidelines in order to orchestrate the subsistence processes, and recommend improvements for the overall efficiency of the subsistence program; 4) Analyze, plan, and carry out successive steps, and recommend actions to eliminate problems/deviations involved in the acquisition and delivery of subsistence provisions and services to supply customers; and 5) Apply an understanding of the Department of Defense's Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) requirements. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
