Network Engineer

Network Engineers provide critical implementation and ongoing support for the corporation's extensive networking and security infrastructure. This support includes the gathering of business requirements, the planning, sizing and implementation of a wide range networking and security solutions. Once implemented, these engineers provide ongoing support of the network devices which includes resolving issues, monitoring capacities, ensuring compliance and the implementation functionality changes. They actively participate in large scale network solution planning, architecture design and redesign efforts and in reengineering efforts.
Job Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Provide consultation and solutions to the organization regarding connectivity options, network capabilities and limitations, systems requirements and security requirements
Manage and/or participate on corporate projects and initiatives which require network solutions
Design and implement solutions based on business requirements
Work to isolate and resolve network and system problems (e.g., protocol analysis, system errors, interoperability problems)
Participate in the strategy and development design of architecture
Implement network security systems, protections and counter measures
Develop and maintain operating procedures and process documentation
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
5 years of in-depth, hands on experience's in the design, implementation and support of networking solutions, working in a large scale multivendor environment
Must possess deep, in-depth knowledge and experience of networking protocols (e.g., IP, SMTP, SIP, HTTP) and network topologies (e.g., Ethernet, MPLS, Wireless, Sonet, DWDM,).
Must have a solid understanding of distributed systems architecture and their operating systems in addition to network management processes and principles.
Working knowledge of project management principles, concepts and methodologies (PMM).
Expert level proficiencies in network and security infrastructure (e.g., Routers, Switches, Firewalls, NAC and IDS systems.
Expert proficiency using Internet/Extranet/Intranet technologies, intrusion detection, network analysis and protocol analysis tools and transaction analysis
Must be able to recognize and mitigate network security threats
Must be able to develop and implement system management tools and processes such as HPNA, Cisco Works and MRTG.
PC Skills, MS Office, Project, VISIO
Preferred Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ IT
Professional certification in Network Administrator (CCNA) and/or Network Engineering (CCNP or CCDA ) is preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
