Are you a Civil/Transportation Engineer with experience in designing complex transportation engineering solutions for traffic planning and large roadway projects? Gresham, Smith and Partners has expansive growth opportunities for the right individual!
Responsibilities:
Design roadway projects including coordination with traffic, bridge design, transportation, planning, and environmental.
Develop the preparation of engineering reports, plans and specifications for major and minor projects.
Lead the preparation and review preliminary and final plans and technical specifications, contract documents and estimates, and make recommendations for additions, deletions and substitutions when modifications are necessary.
Coordinate and observe the design and ongoing progress of a project, including the coordination of the project with City, State and County officials and other outside agencies.
Communicate and interact with project team members, client representatives, review agencies and others as appropriate to project. Resolve a variety of complex problems (e.g., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements).
Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures.
Knowledge of Florida Department of Transportation systems, policies, and procedures.
Knowledge of standard operations, policies and procedures of a firm, preferably within the A/E industry.
Advanced knowledge of the practical application of engineering principles, practices and techniques, including AASHTO guidelines.
Skill in Microstation
Skill in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail.
Ability to demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to build and maintain excellent interpersonal relationships. Ability to work independently on multiple tasks without immediate and constant supervision.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology and 2-6 years of roadway design experience.
EIT certification or Professional Engineer, P.E. in Florida or an ability to obtain P.E. in Florida within 6 months of start date is required.
FDOT project experience is desired.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
