Responsibilities of a PTA:
Physical Therapy Assistant helps Physical Therapists in providing care to patients. Under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist, they provide exercise instructions, therapeutic methods like electrical stimulation, mechanical traction, ultrasound and gait and balance training. Physical Therapy Assistants record the patient's progress and responses to treatment and report the outcome of each treatment to the Physical Therapist.
Qualifications of a PTA:
Associate Degree from an Accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program
Licensed in the State of Florida
CPR/BLS certification
At least 1 year of experience in Skilled Nursing Facility.
