We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial-minded Trust & Estate Associate to join our thriving legal teamThe ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in trust and estate planning, tax law, and estate administrationThis is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated professional to apply their skills to service our clients and shape the firms overall growth strategy
Responsibilities:
1Provide expert legal advice on trust and estate matters to ensure our clients' assets are managed and protected effectively.
2Draft, review, and interpret estate planning documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
3Administer complex estates, including the preparation of estate tax returns, and oversee the distribution of assets.
4Collaborate with tax professionals to develop tax-efficient estate plans and strategize on complex tax issues.
5Conduct legal research and stay updated on current laws and regulations related to trust and estate law and tax law.
6Represent clients in probate court and handle probate litigation.
7Communicate effectively with clients, providing them with regular updates and ensuring their questions and concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
1Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2Must be licensed to practice law in Florida, NY is a huge plus!3A minimum of 3 years of experience in trust and estate law, estate administration, and tax law.
4Proficiency in drafting and interpreting complex legal documents.
5Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
6Exceptional communication and client service skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in an understandable manner.
7Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
8Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
9Must possess the highest level of work ethics and integrity.
