Job Description:
Duties include but are not limited to; scheduled/unscheduled aircraft maintenance on all aircraft systems; piston engine, propeller, airframe flight control, landing gear, troubleshooting systems, sheet metal and composite repair.
The mechanic reports to the Manager of Aircraft Maintenance.
Perform all maintenance in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations, and manufacturers' technical data.
Performs serviceability checks prior to operating powered and non-powered support equipment.
Complies with established policies procedures and standards.
Follows with all safety environmental security and housekeeping standards.
Complies with training requirements.
Assists in training newly assigned personnel.
Operates vehicles both special purpose and regular as authorized.
Practices good housekeeping tool control FOD awareness/prevention and safety always.
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all L3HARRIS aircraft to include weekends and holidays.
Essential Functions:
Perform daily maintenance tasks Schedule maintenance tasksCommunicate aircraft status to senior management Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on L3Harris's training fleet of aircraft Maintain aircraft maintenance records Maintain inventory of aircraft parts and supplies at Jacksonville Base Training of new mechanics at Jacksonville Base Onsite support of aircraft maintenance activities at Jacksonville Base Initiate maintenance personel scheduling Support in areas of syllabus progress for Jacksonville mechanics Onsite support of Jacksonville Base ERP with regards to the fleet of aircraft.
Qualifications:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Must possess Inspection AuthorizationMust possess Airframe and Powerplant certificate with no violations Must be able to pass 10-year FBI background check Must possess minimum tool list Must possess valid driver's licensePreferred Additional Skills:
Strong communication skills Excel familiarity Recommended Skills Aviation Communication Composite Materials Housekeeping Maintenance Mechanical Engineering Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
