Loan Operations - Associate / Senior Associate

Arena Investors, LP (Arena) is a global investment management firm that seeks to generate attractive risk adjusted, consistent and uncorrelated returns by employing a fundamentals based, asset-oriented financing and investing strategy across the entire credit spectrum in areas where conventional sources of capital are scarce.
Arena specializes in off-the-run, stressed, distressed, illiquid and esoteric special situation transactions through originations and acquisitions of asset-oriented investments across a wide array of asset types (including but not limited to private direct corporate credit, commercial real estate bridge lending, and commercial and consumer assets).
Quaestor Advisors, LLC (Quaestor) is an affiliated Special Servicer, which provides mid and back office services, including asset management, to Arena Investors and external clients.
Quaestor is looking to expand the Operations Team through the addition of a loan associate to focus on internal loan administration.
In this role, this individual will be exposed to each step in the origination life cycle of private and syndicated loans and other structured financing arrangements.
Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, resourceful and able to work effectively with all internal functional groups.
Responsibilities Participate in initial discussions around structuring legal entities to support joint venture structures.
Assist in the compilation, inputting and monitoring of static data within internal and external systems.
Assist with the administration of loans on which Arena serves as agent, including coordination with borrowers regarding interest and principal payments, draw downs and deal amendments.
Manage the daily administration of the portfolio within the internally developed Loan Management System (LMS).
Support the deal funding process, including managing cash balances, cash forecasts and closing wire transfers.
Manage the documentation process surrounding all deals within internal systems and at external service providers.
Monitor, and assist with, identifying and reconciling all cash activity within loan specific external cash accounts.
Daily reconciliation of the Fund Administrator Loan Administration activity.
Requirements Bachelor's degree from a top university, ideally in a quantitative area (e.
g.
, finance, economics, accounting).
3-5 years of direct experience in loan administration and/or agency at a securities or investment firm.
Excellent Microsoft Excel (VBA a plus) and writing skills.
Experience with private credit loan origination a plus.
Wall Street Office (WSO), Loan IQ or equivalent system experience a plus.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
