Production Supervisor

While ensuring all paperwork is completed properly, this role communicates any issues to management while working to improve issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND
Responsibilities:

Adapt to highly variable workload based on seasonality Maintain responsibility, accountability, active listening, effective communication, and professionalism in a fast paced work environment Conduct appropriately succinct and professional communication to production floor workers, fellow supervisors, and production management personnel Influence and motivate Production Associates to change their behavior as needed and follow best practices as agreed upon by management Set examples and ensure compliance with proper attire, PPE, GMPs, and SSOPs as appropriate in production areas Understand and maintain all HACCP and CCP-related forms, best practices, and safety protocols consistently, while filling out all paperwork according to requirements Identify and clearly communicate any safety-related issues to management, maintenance, and/or QC personnel immediately Attention to detail in comparing paperwork with actual raw material on the production floor, from food products to packaging material, and making suggestions or corrections as appropriate Consistent attendance, with little to no incidents of tardiness or leaving early without sufficient prior approval Clear and respectful communication with many different cultures and with individuals who may or may not speak the same language Efficient, positive, motivational, and transparent working relationship with Floor Supervisor, Fresh Fish teams, and plant management teams Humility, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness are key success factors for this role WORKING HOURS:
A typical work week consists of 50 hours.
A typical work shift consists of a schedule from 2:
00 pm to 11:
30 pm, or until work is completed, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong communication skills in both written and verbal form.
Has strong organizational skills, the ability to set priorities, handle deadlines, and manage conflicting demands.
Must be dependable and consistent throughout the seasonal challenges of production.
Possesses the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards innovation, discriminating judgment and accountability.
Competency with critical control points, HACCP, food safety, and good management practices.
Strong presence on the production floor.
Ability to maintain complete confidentiality, must exercise discretion at all times.
Ability to use non-verbal communication as needed to communicate effectively despite significant cultural and/or language barriers.
Previous supervisory training in some form required.
Strong interpersonal skills, results and profit-oriented, well organized, a strong business mentality, and ability to be flexible.
Qualifications:
High school diploma and Bachelor's degree Certified in HACCP, specifically Seafood HACCP Experience from a quality or production-related role in a food manufacturing plant Job Type:
