Quick Apply Full-time 1 day ago Full Job Description The Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and deployment of technology (data warehouses, extract, transfer, and load (ETL) code, SQL, Microsoft Power BI, Azure, etc) in an effort to meet the needs of our thriving business division! You will work with internal and external customers to understand, recommend and deploy appropriate BI solutions.
Candidates should be local to the Jacksonville, FL area.
A minimum of 3 years of experience with SQL, ETL and Power BI is required.
Responsibilities:
Create Power BI solutions for internal and external customers including modeling and visuals.
Conducts customer discovery meetings to determine reporting requirements.
Work closely with application development team members to support and maintain performance improvements and data quality.
Act as subject matter expert (SME) and provides guidance and training to internal and external customers on deploying Power BI solutions.
Develop and maintain the data warehouse, ETLs and reports based on technical designs and adhering to department standards, development standards, and best practices.
Coordinate the transition of customer business requirements and technical needs with other members of the IT and Operations teams to ensure a timely and effective implementation of company solutions.
Participate in quality assurance testing processes to confirm that acceptance criteria are met.
Participate in brainstorming and discussion sessions to help operational teams better utilize technology.
Mentor junior BI Developers for both technical and non-technical tasks.
Work with the DBA and architecture teams to standardize data retrieval and report development.
Skills, Experience & Education:
3-5 years of work experience with data and business intelligence solutions on the Microsoft tool stack (such as SQL Server, Power BI, Azure).
Experience creating complete Microsoft Power BI report solutions; other BI and report tool experience is a plus.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server databases, Microsoft Power BI, DAX, Microsoft Excel, and GIT or another code repository.
Azure experience would be a plus.
Good experience developing queries for SQL database reporting.
Excellent communication and active listening skills, as well as good attention to detail.
Proven ability to create and maintain organized documentation.
Advanced organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments.
Good ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables across different situations.
A technical level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, or related area, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
