The assistant general counsel, labor & employment law, will manage the labor, employment and benefits law department and bear ultimate responsibility for proactive support of the company from a legal and compliance perspective in these areas. This position will provide advice and counsel related to employer-employee relationship including compliance with federal, state and local laws relating to discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge and other related torts and benefits law including, but not limited to, union avoidance, unfair labor practices, picketing, boycotts and injunctions, reductions in force, wage and hour matters, child labor, workers compensation retaliation, ERISA and employee benefits, HIPAA compliance, compensation, recruiting, immigration and restrictive covenants.
